The Worshipful Company of Marketors is the City of London livery company for senior people in the marketing profession.
Like all livery companies it promotes excellence in its area of expertise: it supports the Lord Mayor and the City; it undertakes charitable giving and outreach work; and it promotes fellowship and discussion amongst members.
The Company’s membership is drawn from senior marketing practitioners and marketing services experts, together with recognised marketing academics.
In 2010 the Company had the great honour of being presented with its Royal Charter by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT, our Honorary Freeman, in a memorable ceremony in Guildhall. As a modern livery company the Marketors is thus an interesting mix of ancient tradition and 21st century marketing practice. |

The Master for 2011/2012 is James Surguy whose theme for the year is Marketing Innovation.
He says "the contemporary focus in marketing is on effectiveness and efficiency. Whilst all forms of data and analytics are unquestionably important they seldom drive the top line. What drives business growth is innovation and creativity - they are the lifeblood of competitive advantage.
My theme for the year, reflected in my choice of speakers at events, will be very much about how marketing innovation drives business success".
